Steel 5/8" Axle Stud Kits (Aluminum Lug Nuts)
Description
The steel axle drive stud is designed so the 11/16" diameter shoulder on the stud is used to center the wheel, rather than the lug nut used with smaller studs. This system dramatically increases shear strength and eliminates bent wheel studs. These studs require 5/8"-18 threaded holes in the axle flange. Drive studs are then secured in the flange with a jam nut.
Wheels are held in place with an encapsulated lug nut made of 7075 aluminum alloy with an anodized hard coat finish. The integral aluminum washer snaps on to the nut and spins freely, but will not separate from the nut, preventing accidental loss. The nuts have a fixed counter bore depth of 1/8" or 3/8" that make them equivalent to using a standard nut and washer combination of equal thickness.
Specs:
- Hardened Steel material
Kit Includes
- 10ea steel studs
- 10ea locking jam nuts
- 10ea lug nuts
