Description

Successful drag racers know, you must go as fast as possible – as quickly as possible -then come to a halt even more quickly. The more horsepower and traction that you produce, the faster you go. The faster you go, the better your brakes had better be.

Strange Brakes consist of three basic components; calipers, rotors and brake pads. Strange Drag Racing Brakes are made-up of these components.

For Big Ford / Early Big Ford Housing Ends

Requires
• Ball style axle bearings *

* Caliper mount relief isn’t correct for tapered bearings

Evolution S Dynamic Drive Mount (DDM) Stainless Steel Rotors 
• Evolution S Rotor mounts to Billet Aluminum DDM Hat – reducing rotating weight
• DDM system secures the rotor and allows for rotor thermal expansion – drastically reducing warping, coning, and cracking which are common with bolt retension designs
• DDM system design is secured by an internal Spirlox, eliminating heavy bolts and hardware- further reducing rotating weight
• Evolution S rotors are machined and fully ground from Stainless Steel that exhibits 48% greater yield strength at 1,000° F compared to carbon steel- further maintaining rotor integrity
• Stainless steel Evolution S rotors are highly resistant to heat and corrosion
• Unique Aero Slot design reduces rotating weight and promotes even heat dissipation- compared to common round drilled holes
• Scalloped design further reduces rotating weight
• 11.250″ OD / .355″ thickness

Four Piston Billet Evolution 4 Calipers 
• Stainless steel pistons mitigate heat transfer to brake fluid
• Reverse dish pressure vessel piston maximizes stiffness
• High retraction piston and O-ring design to eliminate drag during acceleration
• Computer finite element analysis (FEA) optimized and field-tested calipers- Evolution 4 design improves piston retraction, pedal feel, and stiffness resulting in improved pad wear and exemplary braking efficiency
• All pistons are 1.750″ for increased clamping force

DTC-30 Semi Metallic Brake Pads 
• Provides the best starting-line cold holding power
• Recommended for vehicles going 150 MPH or less in the 1/4 mile

Aluminum Caliper Mounts
• Billet one piece design
• Eliminates bolts, spacers & nuts that require periodic maintenance

Housing End Stud Kit 
• Provides additional components not supplied in most aftermarket kits
